A brief overview
We're building Co-create, a workspace where a team's work lives in one place and each person gets their own agent — we call it a familiar. It learns how they work and keeps the thread as work moves across people and tools.
What makes a familiar different
Most AI tools put a thin layer between you and the model, and you still have to know how the model works to get real value out of it.
Your personal agent, a familiar, sits in the middle and does the technical part for you. It learns how you think — your shorthand, your preferences, the way you like the work done — and turns that into whatever the model needs, filling in what you didn't say and pushing back when it should. You don't have to be technical; you just say what you want.
It's one familiar, not a different bot for every task and title that you're left to manage yourself. And it belongs to the person, not the employer or the platform. That is structurally different from an assistant whose identity and history belong to a platform.
The company still owns the company's work. What a business pays for is Co-create: the workspace, the shared knowledge its familiars build, and the AI used for company work. When someone leaves, their access to company work ends; their familiar keeps the personal context it had before and outside that company.
We're building toward familiars handing work to one another across teams and, later, companies — so context that used to get lost between them can move with the work. The trust that makes that safe should belong to the people involved, not a platform sitting in the middle. That's only possible when the familiar belongs to the person, and it's where this is going.
What we believe
So much of a workday goes to work that was never really human — moving information, chasing context, holding it all together by hand. That was machine work that never had a machine.
Now it can. And when the machine doing it belongs to the person instead of the platform, the technology fades into the background and people get their attention back.
AI should make us more human, not less.
Where we are
We work with our own familiars every day and are in early conversations with three prospective design partners. We're raising our first round to bring Co-create to its first outside teams.
